DOMESTIC DAD

Breaking the stigma around dads reaching out for help, getting their lives on track, and becoming better fathers.

OVERVIEW

When I met Domestic Dad, I had coffee with a passionate, excited, happy man. He dreamed of creating a brand that could bring recognition and awareness to men’s mental health and what it means to be a father.

His passion alone had me invested. I created a brand that could evolve with the dream he had but yet still mean everything he had in mind. It’s about the ups and downs that men go through day to day and how you center yourself at the end of that day.

messaging

We started with t-shirts and apparel that could get the brand off the ground. We needed short, sweet, and emotionally stimulating. We wanted verbiage that people would see and ask “What’s that all about?”

brand & identity

We crafted a logo mark, and type system for Domestic Dad because he was a one-man show when it came to creating new apparel artwork.

The mark illustrates the “Ups and Downs” quite literally but we could use that arrows to help frame out the verbiage so it would be more recognizable over time. The simple mark is meant to have a bold, clean, and modern look.
